Live music and Dancing at the Dahmen Barn with the local band AMSS formally the Morgan Brothers. Doors open at 6:30 with food beer and wine available for purchase music starts at 7pm. Starting out as a bunch of guys playing in a church worship band, Gage Amonette, Phillip Morgan, Arden Skoglund, and David Leland Schad (AMSS) were formed out of the past group known to audiences around the region as the Morgan Brothers Band. With one brother still remaining (Phillip), it became evident that this newer band should reflect the names and talents of the current group. Band members are Amonette (lead guitar), Morgan (bass, mandolin, vocals), Skoglund (keys and vocals) and Schad (percussion). The band has evolved to playing to listening audiences such as wineries, breweries and various community music concerts as well as dance venues. Music genres include folk, pop, & country rock from the 60s and 70s with the retention of the old Morgan Brothers Band nostalgic classic country. “Our goals for the band are to not overpower audiences with volume, play a wide variety of tunes that are nostalgically familiar to folks, and interact with the audience,” says band leader Phillip Morgan.
