From: Havertown Irish FestivalThe Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community in Havertown, Haverford Township, PA is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day weekend with the announcement of the music lineup for the 6th Annual Havertown Irish Festival Saturday June 8, 2024 Noon to 8pm. The annual event attracts thousands from around the region to Havertown in Delaware County, also known as the “33rd County of Ireland.”
The Main Stage will feature top Irish Bands from Ireland and stateside including an all sister band from Donegal, “Screaming Orphans.” Also winners of multiple Irish and international music awards, “Runa” (ROO nah); Dublin, Ireland’s “John Byrne Band”; and New York based Irish Celtic band, “Sheridan Rúitín” (roo TEEN).
Performer John Byrne commented, “We’re thrilled to be returning to the Havertown Irish Festival. Not only is it a brilliantly run event but the folks behind it work tirelessly for their community. Havertown Irish Fest is one of the special ones”. Billy Houlhan of Sheridan Rúitín says, “We are such big fans of Havertown and of the people behind the Kelly Center & The Havertown Irish Festival. We are so honored to be a part of the festival and excited to bring our blend of New York Celtic Folk music back to Havertown.” Organizer Tom Kelly added “The Havertown Irish Festival has grown every year and has become one of the most loved and attended events in Delaware County.”
The Eagle acoustic Stage will offer an acoustic mix including: Michael Tearson, Jeni Englund and 3hrowback, Taylor Ash, Kate Assirin, Shannon Daly, Hooligan Jack, J.P. Bohannon, and more.
The event is now accepting sponsor, vendor, crafter and performer applications. Sponsors include the PA Lottery, Independence Blue Cross, Wawa, Renewal by Andersen, Green Star Exteriors, Stretch Funeral Service and Arthur Gallagher Insurance.
In addition to live music and Irish dancers there will be a Crafter Village featuring handmade crafts by over 90 artisans and crafters, there will be Irish dancers, food trucks, a beer garden, and a children’s Fun Zone. Admission is FREE. The Irish Festival takes place at 50 E. Eagle Road in Havertown, PA. Thanks to sponsorships and donations, the event serves as the primary fundraiser to support the Kelly Center for Music, Arts and Community in Havertown, PA.
