In this Town Hall Update, Arlington Town Manager Sandy Pooler encourages residents to view the release of the Community Equity Audit and watch the public presentation of it. He also reports on the break-in at the USPS mailbox and suggests bringing your mail to the post office. He also invites residents to the March 9 MBTA Communities visioning session, and congratulates the new Select Board Administrator, Ashley Maher. Community Equity Audit Recap

March 9 at 7PM Multifamily Housing in Arlington: MBTA Communities Visioning Session
Share your vision, priorities for where multifamily housing should be allowed by right under Section 3A.
The Town and the MBTA Communities Working Group is leading a planning process with extensive community engagement to determine the details of Arlington's district(s). In this virtual public meeting on March 9 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Zoom, they will conduct a visioning process to understand community priorities and values regarding multifamily housing. The meeting will close with opportunities for questions, answers, and the ability for participants to share their thoughts and ideas. Add to your iCalendar.
Artist Talk & Black Biz Pop-Up

Arlington Observes Black History Month by Celebrating Black Business Through History. Black History Banners have returned along Mass Ave throughout Town and the Arlington Human Rights Commission, and the Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture are hosting an artist talk featuring the winners of the Black History Month Banner Contest and a black owned business pop-up. Maher Named Arlington’s Select Board Administrator
Ashley Maher began her role on February 13, 2023.
Arlington’s Select Board voted unanimously to appoint Ashley Maher as Arlington’s newest Select Board Administrator at its February 6, 2023 meeting. Among many responsibilities, the Select Board Administrator prepares the Annual Town Meeting Warrant, agendas and information packets for the Select Board, coordinates public hearings and licensing procedures, and supervises the Select Board’s Office.
