As usual we hope that you'll start on July 31st by heading downtown to check out the Envista Eats & Beats at Evergy Plaza featuring Coversmith & Howard Mahan or head over to Compass Point in NOTO to check out Davis Dyer live. Then... keep the party rolling with lots of great art activities throughout the weekend.

This summer, ArtsConnect has been working hard to ensure that Topeka continues to grow as a place where artists and others in the creative sector have the resources that they need to be successful.

We have been busy laying the groundwork for the upcoming session of Artist INC - an 8-week program for artists to develop the business side of their artistic practice and to find opportunities for collaboration with other local artists. We'll be announcing this year's artist participants in the coming days, so stay tuned!! We spent part of last week in Wichita at the Kansas Arts Network Conference learning about ways that we can continue working to support artists and build a culture of community and support for creatives here in Topeka. The success of ArtsConnect and artists in this community depend on you.

SO... If you value the arts in our community, we hope that you will take these three important steps:

- SPREAD THE WORD. Tell your friends - bring them to an event - share, follow and like artists on social media so that their audiences are also expanded!
- DONATE. ArtsConnect is Topeka's only nonprofit dedicated to supporting the arts and artists all across Topeka & Shawnee County. The First Friday Artwalk is one of our core programs - made possible through the support of community members like you! We need your support to continue this work.
