From: Auburn Chamber of CommerceJoin Us for a Ribbon Cutting This Thursday at 11:45am in Central Square
The Auburn Chamber of Commerce would like to invite the Community to come join in celebration with the Auburn Veterans Day Parade Committee and the City’s Streetscape History, and Art Advisory Committee, in the unveiling of two tiles. One tile is to honor our six branches of the military, the other is a historic tile honoring one of the longest running Veterans Day Parades dating back to November 11, 1918.
The Ceremony is on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at 11:45 a.m. at the Central Square flag pole. The Auburn Veterans Day Parade Committee will be hosting a small program to commemorate the event. an information table-offering how to register for this year’s parade; Cookies provided by Steven Lease; Auburn Honor Guard led by Commander Terry Crouson, Auburn Chamber Ribbon Cutting led by Rear Admiral Bonnie Potter, Medical Corps, United States Navy Retired. The program ends with a three-rifle Volley Salute.
This year’s parade theme is “Korean War Veterans”. Veterans who served during the Korean War era will serve as the “Grand Marshalls”.
