From: Beaches Museum and History ParkA Note from the Director
Dear Friends:
April is here and with it, one of our community's favorite events! Springing the Blues is in its 33rd year of bringing nationally and internationally known blues artists to our shore. The Beaches Museum hosts two events associated with and supported by Springing the Blues.
First, our Chapel Concert on Thursday is the unofficial kickoff to Spring in the Blues, where Yates McKendree will take the Chapel stage just a day before he takes the main stage at the festival! And on Saturday, we host Springing the Blooms, a fun and family-friendly event that features two great educational lectures, booths with hands-on activities, and even a chance to pet chickens and bunnies! Enjoy our event and then walk on over to the festival!
The month starts off strong and will wrap up with another longtime favorite, the Fletcher All-Class Block Party! Get your tickets now and enjoy this Fletcher themed fundraiser for the Museum!
As always, thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you at the Museum!

Current Exhibit - Salt Run and the Sea: Art of Jenna Alexander
In a continued celebration of local artists, Beaches Museum is proud to present the work of Jenna Alexander.
Immerse yourself in Jenna Alexander’s visions of nature in oil on canvas. Capturing the beauty of our region’s tranquility with dreamy, impressionistic vistas and compositions, her pieces begin as photos taken on contemplative treks through nature. In each piece, Alexander preserves and shares the textures and tones of these fleeting moments from her solitary hikes. From the humble oyster to the vast ocean, Salt Run and the Sea honors and evokes the serenity evident in all aspects of Northeast Florida’s great wilderness.
On exhibit until June 22, 2025.
Museum Member Deal of the Month: Just Spring Things!
For the entire month of April, we're springing into action to celebrate the Spring season and all the fun in the sun that comes with it! This month, our Museum Member Deal applies to Stuck in the Mud by Ruth Lewis and Flavia Chaves Fleckenstein, rainbow prisms, and sun art paper kits.
Museum members only can save 15% on these great gifts for kids or grandkids. Sun art is a perfect outdoor activity for the season. Paired with the rainbow light crystal prism, it makes a great backyard STEAM lesson! Pick these up at Springing the Blooms or visit the gift store any time this month to redeem your member-exclusive discount.
