Enjoy a unique live Stage Show, re-enact the famous Run Out Scene, enter the Shorty’s Short Film Contest, vie for the coveted Mx. Blobfest Universe title, and Dance the Night Away at the Blob Ball.

7:30 p.m. - Friday Night Stage Show and Run-Out

Enjoy an original, live stage show featuring our ghoul, Aurora Gorealis of Shocktail Hour; live music performed by Beach Creeper; the Shorty's Short Film and a re-enactment of the famous 'run out' scene starring YOU! Doors for the theatre will be open to ticket holders at 6:00 PM. House doors will open to the 1903 Theatre at 6:30 PM.

Shorty’s Short Film Contest
Each year, inspired by the same muse that sang to Director Irvin “Shorty” Yeaworth when he conceived of The Blob, filmmakers of all ages compose entries for our Annual Shorty’s Short Film Contest. Winning films will be screened for the public all day Saturday, July 15 during Blobfest 2023. Prizes will be awarded to the winners on Friday night.

Blob Ball
This after-party is hosted annually by our friends at LuLu Boutique & Gifterie inside the Colonial Theatre after the Run-Out has ended. Features live music from The Ultra Kings, swing dancing, and frozen drinks!

11 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Street Fair
Experience a unique Street Fair! The fun blasts off at 11:00 AM with the Fire Extinguisher Parade. The Costume Contest starts at 1:00 p.m. at the Main & Bridge parking lot stage where bands will also play throughout the day. Visit our vendors, check in at the Colonial for your film tickets, purchase goodies at the Blobfest Merchandise tent, and more. Check this page for after parties around Phoenixville!

Saturday Monster Mash Movies
Don't miss the MONSTROUS movie selection including The Blob (1958), The Blob (1988), and a 'Monster Mash' Triple Feature. Enjoy them all afternoon on Saturday inside the 'Healthfully Air Conditioned', 120-year old Colonial Theatre.

Shorty's Short Film Contest Entries
All patrons with tickets to Saturday films can catch the 2023 Shorty's Short Film Contest entries in the White Rabbit Theatre. These live action and animated shorts will run on a loop throughout the day.

1:00 p.m. - Costume Contest
Cosplay your way this Blobfest! Fire up your sewing machine (or glue gun), style your wig, and comb that fur. We want to see your best and boldest looks on the Costume Contest catwalk this July.

Choose your own Sunday Blobfest Adventure! Join Joel Hodgson, Jonah Ray, and Emily Marsh for Mystery Science Theatre 3000 at MST3Kon. Details coming soon! Escape being devoured at the Runegades Blob Run or take a self-guided Driving Tour of Chester County Filming Locations from 'The Blob' and other flicks.

10:00 a.m. - Mystery Science Theatre 3000 - MST3Kon
In the not-too-distant future, Mystery Science Theater 3000 will join Blobfest for its 24th year, taking form as MST3Kon! In this one-day con, join series creator and veteran movie riffer Joel Hodgson (“Joel Robinson”), along with director Jonah Ray (“Jonah Heston”), and the show’s latest test subject, Emily Marsh (“Emily Connor”) as they screen three experiments from MST3K’s latest season, direct from the Gizmoplex. 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM - Runegades - Blob 5k, 10k, Half Marathon & Kids Fun Run!
Are you ‘INDESCRIBABLE! INDESTRUCTIBLE! NOTHING CAN STOP IT!’ . . . like the Blob? This third-party road race is hosted by Runegades as a benefit event. Therefore, ticketing is managed by Runegades through Runsignup.com and all questions regarding the race should be directed to the Race Organizers.

Self-Guided Driving Tour of Filming Locations
Grab a fresh iced coffee for the road and set off to visit filming locations for The Blob, Hayride to Hell, The Lovely Bones, The Village, and more! The Driving Tour of Chester County is best viewed through a mobile device.
