Poke Purple Goat's Bockfest

Purple Goat will be hosting our 3rd annual Bock Fest on our patio! The event is covered by our canopy and will have heaters and fireplaces to keep you warm while you drink delicious beer and enjoy a cool outdoor event in the Minnesota winter! We will be featuring Schell's Bock for this special event. $5 pints and $10 mugs. The mugs will be yours after purchase you will just have to pay for refills. Make sure to get here early because the mugs don't last long and are only available while supplies last. Bock poking is a time honored late winter/ early spring tradition that involves fire, metal, and Bock beer. Poking a Bock with a red- hot poker caramelizes the malt and sugars, creating a smoky character and creamy taste

Schells Bockfest

While the poked beer doesn't always speed the arrival of Spring, it will at least keep you warm! Schell's beer, brats, live music and warm fire await you. Have your beer “poked” by our fire tenders, giving your Bock beer some nice caramel flavors. And when the final bock has been wrangled, the last "Ring of Fire" sung, the last keg tapped and last mug hoisted, it's time to close the books on another Bockfest…unless you want to stick around and help with the cleanup! But the party doesn't stop there. Festers flock to downtown New Ulm for a fun-filled night of friendship. And when the night has run its course and it's time to call it quits, we ask that you call for a ride home. Be safe out there!
