“The propulsive indie pop sound of the Pacific Northwest is alive and well and in the amplifiers of Mylo Bybee, whose allegiance to sonic exploration without losing one’s sense of melody puts them in the same conversation as Modest Mouse and Death Cab despite originating from Boise, Idaho”.- SPIN Magazine
Boise, ID - Pacific Northwest alt-rock powerhouse Mylo Bybee returns with their thunderous new single “Time Machine,” a tightly-wound burst of emotion that captures both the ache of nostalgia and the urgency of moving forward. The track marks the first glimpse of the band’s forthcoming EP, Revisions-a collection that sharpens their sound while staying rooted in their raw, restless spirit.
Built on restless rhythms, sharp guitar lines, and vocals that balance grit with vulnerability, “Time Machine” channels the band’s signature blend of precision and chaos. It’s a song that wrestles with the past and future in equal measure-driven by the kind of soaring, heartfelt urgency that’s become a Mylo Bybee trademark.
“I can’t help but reflect on all the things I have to be thankful for, while also staying grounded in the reality that it’s not so clear for everyone. We’re living in deeply unsettling times. "Time Machine" walks the line between looking forward, imagining a more robust existence for all of us and looking back, reminiscing about moments that felt different.” – Tyler Schlagenhauf (vocals, guitar)
Formed in 2020, Mylo Bybee quickly carved out their place in the modern alt-rock landscape with a high-voltage sound that crackles with energy and emotion. Their music doesn’t ask for attention-it demands it-grabbing hold with restless rhythms, soaring hooks, and a pulse that never lets go. Lyrically, the band dives headfirst into the pressure points of modern life-disconnection, desire, defiance-delivering every word with unflinching honesty. Their work has earned praise from outlets including SPIN Magazine, which declared that “the propulsive indie pop sound of the Pacific Northwest is alive and well and in the amplifiers of Mylo Bybee.”
Their cathartic live shows have become their calling card, pulling crowds into the eye of the storm. From Boise clubs to Treefort Music Fest, Offbeat, Schellraiser, and beyond, Mylo Bybee has earned a reputation as one of the Pacific Northwest’s most dynamic and compelling rock bands.
Following their acclaimed release Master & Machine and explosive singles “Run, Run” and “Fighters,” the band’s upcoming EP Revisions features Wes Schlagenhauf on bass (who also recorded the album), while new full-time touring bassist Tony Caruso joins the lineup to carry the music forward on stage.
Mylo Bybee doesn’t follow the formula. They light the match and run straight into the fire.

“A brand new release from Mylo Bybee brings out a fiery alternative rock banger that comes with the secondary counterpart as well and both hit that sweet spot between a high energy indie rock, slight touches of punk, and this classic almost emo rock style”- Ragmag
