WASHBURN, N.D. – Fort Mandan State Historic Site near Washburn is hosting a book signing and presentation by Cait Clark on Tuesday, July 4, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
“From the Treaty City to the Western Sea: Lewis and Clark in Greenville, Ohio” chronicles how famous explorers Meriwether Lewis and William Clark met before being assigned to the Corps of Discovery by President Thomas Jefferson. Clark will sign books following the presentation. Participants may bring their own books or purchase them at the Fort Mandan Visitors Center.
Fort Mandan is a state historic site managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
