Kemp recently “sidestepped a direct answer” on Trump’s tariffs
Kemp’s only comment on the Trump administration’s sweeping cuts has been to say that “government can stand a little rightsizing”
It’s been a tough news week for Brian Kemp-backed policies as headline after headline has brought to light the real-life impacts of the Trump administration’s tariffs and federal agency cuts that are directly impacting Georgians across the state.
In case you missed it:
Kemp recently “sidestepped a direct answer” on Trump’s tariffs and has yet to address the administration’s sweeping cuts that have left thousands of now unemployed Georgia workers fired from federal agencies including the CDC — other than saying in February that “government can stand a little rightsizing.”
“Brian Kemp backed the Trump administration’s dangerous policies that are costing jobs, increasing costs, and creating massive health and safety risks,” said DPG spokesperson Alex Yerkey. “Each day, Georgians are paying the price for Kemp’s cowardice toward Trump.”
