From: Bronx Council on the Arts

HAPPENING NOW...

As we navigate these uncertain times, BCA remains committed to supporting creatives through mission-based programming, providing resources, advocating for the arts and culture sector, and connecting artists, arts organizations, and the community through art.

We are deeply inspired by the creativity, determination, and resilience of the artists and cultural organizations of this beloved borough. In a world that often feels divided, the work of those artists and cultural organizations makes The Bronx unique, and for that I am profoundly grateful.

Let’s continue working together to strengthen our communities through the power of the arts!

APRIL 30TH - CLOSING RECEPTION

ANCESTRAL WISDOM - LONGWOOD ART GALLERY

Join us for the Closing Reception of Ancestral Wisdom on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Longwood Art Gallery at BCA Headquarters in Westchester Square (2700 East Tremont Avenue, Bronx, NY, 10461).

Ancestral Wisdom is part of the 2025 Longwood Art Gallery season titled The World We Want To Live In, which examines art’s role in social and political movements—not only raising awareness but catalyzing public discourse and bringing new audiences into activism. The act of imagining alternate ways of being is, these artists believe, the beginning of creating the many worlds we want to live in.

The gallery is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Walk-ins welcome. To schedule a tour, please contact the gallery at [email protected] or call 718-931-9500 Ext. 22.
