From: Broward County Library - Main BranchAuthors and Aspiring Authors
Broward County Library (BCL), in partnership with Florida Center for the Book, invites the community to take part in our ongoing Local Authors @ Broward County Library initiative. Readers are encouraged to support our homegrown talent by checking out great works of fiction by South Florida writers or by writing their own.
Visit our BCL Local Authors webpage to access:
- Self-Publishing Platform - Pressbooks: Free service that allows local, self-published authors to create and professionally format their book(s) into digital and/or print-ready formats.
- Indie Author Project: Once you’ve written and published your own eBook, submit it to the Indie Author Project for inclusion in the statewide Indie Florida Collection as well as a chance for national exposure if chosen by Library Journal.
- Submit Your Printed Book: Local authors may submit a book for consideration to be part of our physical book collection.
Local Authors Collection: Check out books by Florida writers at select Broward County Library locations.
