Enjoy an evening of outdoor storytelling and live music for adults at Moonlight Tales, with performers from the Caribbean Diaspora sharing stories and songs from their ancestral lands.
Moonlight Tales 2023 Featured Performers
- Lucrèce Louisdhon-Louinis is a storyteller, dancer and Director of the Louinès Louinis Haitian Dance Theater and Dance-A-Story. Her performances include Haitian, Caribbean and African folklore and songs.
- Louinès Louinis, founder and artistic director of The Louinès Louinis Haitian Dance Theater, has taught, performed and choreographed Haitian dance for over 50 years.
- The Jamaican Folk Revue, founded in 1975, continues a rich heritage of Jamaican folkloric traditions, sharing folk music of the Caribbean and Afro-American songs and spirituals.
- Derek Burrows is a musician and master storyteller in the oral tradition of the Bahamas. He has shared tales of Afro-Caribbean and African Diaspora nationally and internationally for 30 years.
- Bobby Gonzalez is a multicultural motivational speaker who draws on his Native American and Latino roots to offer a unique performance celebrating his indigenous heritage.
