Love crafts and crafting? Main Library’s Craftapalooza, a free day of workshops, classes and demos, is open to crafters and creators of all ages and skill levels. All supplies are provided, and there will also be live music, balloon art, face painting and other fun and creative activities. Shop handmade items at the crafter’s marketplace and enjoy snacks, meals and beverages from local food vendors.

Library Services for Persons with Disabilities

Broward County Library is committed to offering programs and services that are accessible to everyone. Assistive technology is used to enable persons with vision or hearing loss to enjoy all that the library has to offer. Programs such as Books-by-Mail make printed materials available to those who are homebound, or otherwise unable to visit their local library.

Free Solar Eclipse Glasses

Broward County Library is distributing free solar eclipse glasses to Broward County Library cardholders, while supplies last!

To receive your free pair, visit a Broward County Library location (check availability) during regular service hours and sign up for a Broward County Library All Access card or present your current All Access card. Only one pair of glasses will be distributed per library card shown.

No More Late Fines

Broward County Library no longer assesses any late fines for library books, DVDs and other materials returned after the due date. All existing late fines on cardholder accounts have been removed. Materials still have a due date and cardholders will be charged for lost or damaged items. Items are considered lost when they are 35 days past the due date.
