Schools and Libraries

March 19, 2023

From: Bucks County Community College

Bucks County Community College, in collaboration with Moss Mill Brewing Company, invites entries for the Centurion Ale Label Art Competition. The competition is open to adults, 18 and older, who are students, faculty, and staff of Bucks County Community College, along with residents of Bucks County.

Centurion Ale is an exploratory release made possible by the collaboration between Bucks County Community College’s Brewing & Fermentation Science Program and Moss Mill Brewing Company. The Associate of Applied Science in Brewing and Fermentation Science prepares students for employment within the brewing and/or fermentation industries.

Centurion Ale was made with several malted barley grades from Proximity Malt; German Tettnang hops; and a German ale yeast strain. It has a deep amber color with an ABV of about 5.5%. The aroma is one of malt (biscuit) and slight hops. The taste is similar with just enough bitterness and not too much sweetness.

Label concept and contest registration must be submitted by 11:59pm., Monday, March 27, 2023. All entries must be submitted through this online form.

Concept submissions selected to move to the next round of competition will be announced Monday, April 3, 2023
