Bridgewater, NJ - Open Door Arts, Visual & Performing Arts Center (ODAC) has issued a call for New Jersey Playwrights to submit one act plays for a night of staged reading performances. 

Selected performances will be scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the PeopleCare Center, 120 Finderne Avenue in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Show time is 7:30 P.M. 

Deadline for submissions is midnight, Monday, September 1, 2025. Scripts must be submitted in PDF format to [email protected] with captions to include title of play; last and first name of author; followed by the code ODACSR1125. The cover sheet should include the title of the play with the name and contact information for the play write. 

Selected playwrights will be notified by Wednesday, October 1, 2025. 

Submissions are open to the author’s creativity and should run for 15 minutes with minimum stage requirements. A question and answer session following the presentation will allow the audience to gain insight into the author’s motivation.
