Join us every Wednesday in October, at the Carrollton Branch Library from 3:30pm to 5:00pm for fast, fun and easy kid crafts. While supplies last.
- Byte Size Basics, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4:00pm-5:00pm
Need extra computer-related help? Tutors are available for assistance using our ebook services and online databases, navigating the web, accessing websites, filling in forms, Microsoft Office assistants, and other basic computer help. Drop in or call the branch to schedule an appointment.

Join us for lap time stories, rhymes, music and playtime for your little ones up to 36 months.
- Friends of the Library Fall Book Sale, October 14th from 8:00am-1:00pm
Stop by the Carrollton Branch Library on Saturday, October 14th for our Fall Book Sale. Fill a bag of books for $6 or bring your own bag to fill for $5. All proceeds help fund programs at the Carrollton Branch!
- Death & Donuts, October 25th at 6:00pm
Calling all fans of true crime, horror and mysteries! Join the newest book club at the Carrollton branch. Each month, we’ll read a different selected book and chat about what we are reading and watching. This month we will be reading and discussing Patti McCracken’s “The Angel Makers: Arsenic, A Midwife, and Modern History’s Most Astonishing Murder Ring”. Open to ages 18+
- Drop It Like It’s Hot Romance Book Club: Thursday, October 26th at 7:00pm
Romance Book Club will be discussing Ashlyn Chase’s “My Wild Irish Dragon”. Join us online Thursday, October 26th at 7:00pm for our Zoom meeting. Email Tabatha at [email protected] to join in on the fun. Copies available at the branch and online.
- Chapter Chat: Teen Book Club, October 30th at 4:15pm
Join us on the last Monday of the month for Chapter Chat: Teen Book Club! We’ll read a great book, talk about it and have snacks. For teens 12+, with all books being appropriate for Middle-Schoolers. Registration is required, the first seven teens to register will receive a free copy of that month’s book club book! Book choice of the month is “Coraline” by Neil Gaiman.
- Pet Photos with Santa, November 18th at 10:00am
The Friends of the Carrollton Library will be hosting Pet Photos with Santa to benefit The Isle of Wight Humane Society. Families can make cards and toys for the Humane Society pets, see a listing of available pets, and receive information about the Humane Society. Just remember to bring your own camera and a donation for The IOW Humane Society!
