5:30 PM - McDonnell's Bar and Undertakers at Arena Theater at Frontier

In the northwest corner of County Mayo, Ireland, the Wild Atlantic Way rolls across green hills between two bays that squeeze the countryside as the road approaches Belmullet where it sits at the neck of the Mullet Peninsula.

And while the echo of ocean surf can sometimes be heard between the bays on Lower Barrack Street, whenever the door to McDonnell's Bar is open, music tolls up through town. Songs echo off the stone faces of packed row buildings, the irresistible lilt a note of invitation into the public house, where Publican and Undertaker Padraig Conroy welcomes patrons in with a tune and serves up a proper pint!

A zaney zombie-family-comedy that follows Noah, a homeschooling dad running an apocalypse prepping Youtube channel. He and his wife Rose (breadwinner...high strung) reach a breaking point in their marriage. On a therapist's recommendation they take their 3 girls on a technology-free family retreat in the woods. However, on the first night an actual zombie shows up. Noah (who has, of course, not actually left his phone at home) starts streaming, battling zombies with his daughters, and tries (unsuccessfully) to hide all this from Rose. The family eventually discovers that the only thing scarier than these zombies, is where the zombies have come from.

Standing Strong: Elizabeth Catlett
This Mid-America Emmy-nominated film highlights the story of black activist-artist Elizabeth Catlett. Catlett studied under artist Grant Wood and in 1941was the first African American female to receive an MFA from the University of Iowa in Studio Arts. Later she embraced the politically tolerant culture of Mexico, as a conducive environment for her to work as artist and teacher. Her connection to human rights on the heels of the McCarthy era created conflict leading to her imprisonment. Later Catlett renounced her American citizenship and became a Mexican citizen. Nevertheless, her works were still exhibited in museums worldwide. A pioneer of The Black Arts Movement her activism continued throughout the Black Power and the feminist movements of the 1970's. Catlett later regained her American citizenship in 2002. Her monumental works of Malala Jackson and Ralph Ellison are awe-inspiring, but her most iconic works are those of ordinary black
