Loudoun County Parks, Recreation and Community Services (PRCS) will host multiple events in honor of Independence Day offering may opportunities to see incredible fireworks and fun festivities!

June 28, 2024:
Star Spangled Sterling:
Enjoy entertainment, a live DJ, food trucks (food for purchase), and outdoor family games!
9:20 pm: Fireworks
Rain Date - Monday, July 1.

June 29, 2024:
What A Blast:
This year's What a Blast! event is moving to Hal & Berni Hanson Regional Park! Come out to the park on Saturday, June 29, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM to enjoy live music, food trucks, beer & wine, entertainment, and FIREWORKS!
BCA is excited to partner with Loudoun PRCS to host this event for Brambletonians and local Loudoun residents. Stay tuned to this webpage for more details in the coming months!
Note: Arrive early! Free parking is available at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park until 8:00pm or when parking lots meet capacity, whichever occurs sooner. Additional parking is available at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park South Complex, Independence High School, Brambleton Middle School, and Madison’s Trust Elementary School.
Know Before You Go:
No personal fireworks (including sparklers) allowed.
No outside alcoholic beverages allowed.
No pets are allowed in the fireworks viewing area.
No lawn chairs or seating is provided in the fireworks viewing area. Patrons can bring their own lawn chairs. Please keep all paved and unpaved paths clear of chairs, picnic blankets, and other items while enjoying the festivities.
Picnic blankets are welcomed and can be set up on the grass viewing fields.
No personal tents are allowed.
No smoking or vaping is permitted on park grounds.
No glass.
Entertainment:
Live Music from 6:30-9:30 PM - So Fetch - Rock out to DC's hottest 00's tribute band!
Enter our free Goosechase scavenger hunt. Head here to register for your free account and look over the missions. Once you've completed the scavenger hunt at the event, head to one of our Kids Zone sponsor tables to collect your prize!
Family fun activities presented by Girls on the Run, Boy Scouts of America, and Steve Kish The Magician. Enjoy games, face-painting, a balloon artist, and more.
A spectacular fireworks show will take place at approximately 9:30 PM!

Beer Garden:
Our beer (and wine!) garden is sponsored by Costa Dentistry and presented by Bear Chase Brewing. Tickets will be available to purchase at the event, and eight types of beer/wine will be on tap!
Must be 21 to purchase/partake. All alcohol must stay within the designated beer garden area. Absolutely no outside alcohol allowed on park grounds!
If the event is canceled due to thunder/lightning, a fireworks-only show will be held on Sunday, June 30 at 9:30pm (weather permitting).

July 3, 2024:
Independence Day Celebration:
5:30 pm: Parade through Town
6:30 pm: Celebrate at the Park - Carnival Games, DJ and Balloon Artist
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm: Pool Bash - $5 Per Person Admission
9:30 pm: Fireworks at the Lovettsville Community Park

July 4, 2024:
Independence Day at Franklin Park:
Enjoy giant inflatables and games, music from DJ Bifocals, a photo booth, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon twisting, and food for purchase! Fireworks are accompanied by Live Music from the Loudoun Symphonic Winds.
9:30 pm: Fireworks
Arrive early as parking is not guaranteed after 7:45 pm.
Location: Franklin Park, Purcellville, VA.
Fourth Fest:
Celebrate with live music, crafts, nature exhibits, carnival games, attractions, and more!
Location: Claude Moore Park, Sterling, VA.
Red, White and Run 5K:
Kick off your Fourth of July with PRCS and join in the fun at Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park! Join Loudoun County's newest Regional Park for their 2nd Annual Red, White and Run 5K as part of Loudoun County's July 4th offerings. Come dressed to impress in your most patriotic gear to start the day off right with this 5K. This certified multi-terrain course will take runners around the north complex of Hanson, providing runners an opportunity to view the scenic parts of the park and park amenities. After the 5K, stay for light refreshments and an awards ceremony where age group winners and the best patriotic outfit will be recognized.
Location: The 5K will start at 8:00 a.m. in Hal and Berni Hanson Regional Park's Championship Plaza. The address for Championship Plaza is 23401 Hanson Park Drive, Aldie, VA 20105.
Registration Fees:
Now through June 15: $35.00
June 16 – July 2: $40.00
During packet pick-up and on race day: $45.00, cash or check only.
Online registration will close on Tuesday, July 2 at 8:00 p.m.
Packet Pick Up: Packet pick-up will be available on Wednesday, July 3 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at the Hanson Park Administration Building (22831 Hanson Park Dr, Aldie, VA 20105) and then on Thursday, July 4 from 7:00-7:30 a.m. at Championship Plaza (23401 Hanson Park Drive, Aldie, VA 20105).
Note that the Admin building is roughly a 1/3 mile walk from the start line.
Awards: Awards will be given to the overall top Male and Female finisher, and the top male and female finisher in the following age groups:
10 and Under
11-12 years-old
13-18 years-old
19-29 years-old
30-39 years-old
40-49 years-old
50-59 years-old
60 years old and older
