Chair Conrad Statement on 2025 Primary Night

Seattle, WA - On August 5, 2025, Chair Shasti Conrad released the following statement reacting to the first batch of August 5th Primary results:

“Washington Democrats thank every voter who participated in our state’s August primary. Crucial elections for city councils, mayors, county executives, and numerous state legislative positions were on the ballot. As ballots continue to get counted over the next two weeks, we remain confident that Washington voters will continue to elect solutions-oriented Democratic candidates. Washington has the best voting systems in the country and we look forward to counting every vote.

“Washington Democrats also welcome the strong support for State Senators Victoria Hunt in LD 5 and Deb Krishnadsan in LD 26. Voters recognized their deep commitment to making Washington a better place to live and raise a family.”
