Looking to get involved in the city or just learn more about how we operate? Anna's Neighbor Academy is designed for neighbors to learn more about the City by taking participants behind the scenes of city operations, programs and initiatives. Learn more.
Boards and Commissions
If you'd like to go deeper and begin making recommendations on general policy matters that impact your neighbors and where you live, apply for a board or commission. The City Council is currently looking for volunteers interested in serving on the Board of Directors of the Anna Community Development Corporation and Economic Development Corporation, the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment, and Parks Advisory Board. Volunteer
Perhaps you want to connect with your neighbors and give back during events or clean-ups throughout the year as you have time. Become a volunteer with the City of Anna. We have a couple of different ways for you to get involved and make an impact. Start by filling out the application and we can notify of opportunities that fit your interests as they come up. Below is a list of current opportunities:
- Easter Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 1
- Texas Trash-Off, April 10-15
- Quarterly Senior Meals
- Pop-up Recreation, June 6 - Aug. 1
The North Pointe Crossing HOA entry feature has been selected at the March We Notice! Property of the Month. The addition of these lovely purple and white flowers was a recent project spearheaded by the North Pointe Crossing HOA president.
Hop into the fun during the Easter Eggstravaganza week. We've got a photo scavenger hunt, drop-in spring craft, coloring contest, Parks Bingo, egg decorating photo contest, Teen Glow Party and Egg Hunt, Doggie Easter Egg Hunt and more!
Prepare for bulky item pick up
The next bulky item pick up week is March 13-17. For more information on what is accepted, restrictions and guidelines, visit online. CARDS provides bulky item pick up service on your regular scheduled day every third week of the month.
Last chance to register for March programs
Don't delay, the deadline to register for the following events is March 13.
- Pop-up Recreation Puppet Show
- Children S.T.E.A.M.
- Archery

Umpires needed for Spring season
The Parks and Recreation Department is in need of umpires for the youth baseball and softball leagues. Umpires must be at least 16 years old and available to attend a mandatory training on March 12. Pay range is $30-$50/game. For more information, contact the City of Princeton Youth Sports program. View the flyer.
