Please join me in welcoming Brad Goudie, as our new City Administrator, to Clear Lake Shores!

Brad was selected by our City Council and will be joining the Clear Lake Shores team on February 21.

Brad comes to Clear Lake Shores as an administrator with 30 years of progressive experience in municipal government. He has extensive education and experience in Public Administration, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, and fire and EMS in municipal government.

Brad also brings experience in managing numerous hazards known to southeast Texas such as hurricanes, winter storms, pandemics, and chemical hazards.

Brad holds a Master of Public Administration,  Certified Public Manager, B.S. in Emergency Administration and Disaster Planning.

He is also a certified peace officer, firefighter, arson investigator, and licensed paramedic.

Brad’s leadership style is grounded in a servant leadership philosophy whereby promoting service to others above self. His emphasis is on promoting a culture built on encouragement, empowerment, and respect. Life's focus should be committed to the success of others and personal success will surely follow.

Brad has been married for 34 years to LaRenda. They have two adult children, Lauren and Colton, and are the proud grandparents of three.

I would also like to thank Clear Career Professionals for assisting us with our search for a City Administrator. We are excited to have Brad working for us and look forward to having him here with us for many years.
