The addition of Fire Station #5 will help the Coppell Fire Department safeguard the lives and property of residents while maintaining service standards.

The Regional Neighborhood Summit is this Saturday! Don’t miss the chance to connect with your neighbors, meet city officials, and learn how to strengthen your community!

The event is hosted by the City of Coppell, the Town of Flower Mound, and the City of Lewisville, and will feature a variety of information sessions presented by local leaders and industry professionals. Topics include neighborhood conflict resolution, how to spot contractor fraud, block party planning 101, and a neighborhood leadership panel discussion.

S. Belt Line Road Closure - February 24

S. Belt Line Rd., from Southwestern Blvd./E. Belt Line Rd. to Sanders Loop, will be closed overnight from 8 pm - 4 am, Friday, February 24 - Saturday, February 25, weather permitting, to allow for the installation of bridge beams as a part of the DART Silverline project. Traffic will be detoured through Sanders Loop to avoid the work area.

Water Meter Performance Report

Did you know that Coppell utilizes advanced water meters that have near perfect measuring accuracy? To verify continued meter accuracy, annual testing is performed on a random sample of meters in town by a third party. This year’s test found the meters to be 99% accurate! Residents can rest assured that their winter averaging rate will only be calculated by the water they actually use.

S. Belt Line Reconstruction Update

Coppell Farmers Market

Pickleball at The CORE

Texas Parks & Wildlife Fly Fishing
Saturday, February 25 | 9 am – 2 pm

Join Dallas Fly Fishers for an introduction to fly fishing. Learn how to cast, tie basic fishing knots, tie flies, and discuss their uses. Participants will review equipment, learn about aquatic ecosystems, safety, ethics, regulations, and fishing skills. All equipment and materials are provided. Participants receive a Texas Parks & Wildlife Department basic fly fishing certificate. Children must be supervised by an adult chaperone, and registration is required for all participants. This program is FREE of charge and space is limited. For ages 12+.

Budding Curiosity: Water Cycle

Join the BEC staff for an education program that builds on a sense of wonder, inviting youth to explore nature and the world around them. Through activities and crafts, this program reinforces a foundation for developing positive impressions about nature. Adults are encouraged to actively participate with their children and enjoy learning together. Registration is required. For ages 3 – 5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Teen Mardi Gras Celebration

Come celebrate Mardi Gras in the Teen Room at the library! While the library isn't on a Mardi Gras parade route, you will be able to eat, dance, watch a parade, and craft with Mardi Gras beads. There will also be trivia and opportunities to learn more about the history and traditions of this fun holiday. All materials and food will be provided. Participants may come and go as they please. Let the good times roll! No reservation needed.

Severe Weather Workshop

With spring and severe weather at our doorstep, Life Safety Park and CBS 11 Meteorologist Jeff Ray are hosting an engaging and en-lightning course on severe weather preparedness. Topics covered will include local hazard risk statistics—what weather impacts us most—weather myths and facts, and how you can best prepare yourself and your families when the weather turns ugly.

This class will be interactive, so please bring your mobile phone or tablet device, as well as your personal NOAA Weather Radio if you have one. The last 30 minutes of class will be devoted to exploring the Storm Chaser 3 vehicle and assisting attendees with weather radio programming and/or signing up for NotifyCoppell.

This class is free, but registration is required. For ages 16+.

Recycling Simplified
