From: City Of Corpus ChristiCORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Monday, January 15, marks the 61st anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech. The day became a federal holiday in 1983. In 2020, the City Council voted to make MLK Day a municipal holiday.
In Corpus Christi, the 38th Annual MLK Commemorative March will take place on Monday, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at the Nueces County Courthouse, located at 901 Leopard Street, and ending at Mount Zion Baptist Church, located at 1605 Comanche Street.

The Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA) will provide shuttle services from Mount Zion Baptist Church to the County Courthouse after the march.
