ETHS to Move 'Geometry in Construction' House on July 31

EVANSTON, IL - Evanston Township High School (ETHS) will move a single-family home on Monday, July 31 beginning at 9 a.m. The home will move from 1600 Dodge Ave. to 1739 Brown Ave.

The 'Geometry In Construction' course at ETHS provides students the opportunity to learn math by building a single-family home. The program is a collaboration between ETHS, the City of Evanston and Community Partners for Affordable Housing.

The home will depart ETHS, travel east on Lake Street, north on Dodge Avenue, west on Church Street and then north on Brown Avenue. View the route map.

There will be no parking along part of the moving route. Community members can expect minor delays accessing homes during the move. Brown Avenue, between Church and Emerson Streets, will be closed to parking and most traffic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
