Following Inclement Weather
Trash and recycling will not be collected Wednesday, February 1, due to inclement weather. Trash only collection resumes Thursday, February 2. Trash carts should be placed out for collection by 7 a.m. Recycling collection resumes its regular schedule next week, beginning Monday, February 6.
Below is the schedule for servicing missed trash collection:
- February 2: Monday, Tuesday routes will be collected. Crews will begin collecting Wednesday routes if time permits.
- February 3: Wednesday and Thursday routes will be collected. Crews will begin collecting Friday routes if time permits.
- February 4: Friday routes – and any other missed trash – will be collected.
All collections (trash, recycling, yard waste and bulk) resume regular schedules Monday, February 6.
Recycling: Because recycling service was missed this week, customers may leave as many as five (5) extra bags next to your recycling cart next week on your regularly scheduled collection day. Please do not place extra bags on top of your cart. Customers may bring recycling to the Environmental Collection Center, 6616 Walnut Street, on Thursday or Friday, February 2 – 3, for free drop off.
Chunk Your Junk – Saturday, February 4, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Residents with Frisco water bills may dispose of trash, recycling, yard waste as well as household chemicals and electronics. This event is also located at 6616 Walnut Street.
DIY Disposal: Custer Transfer Station (trash, yard waste), Plano Parkway Transfer Station (trash, appliances) and the Melissa landfill are open Monday – Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Customers are required to show Frisco water bill and matching driver’s license.
