Ray Shelton revealed at the June 20, 2023, GUSD board meeting that he recalls school board member Shant Sahakian's kids were in private school before he decided to run for a school board seat and begin his political career.

Jordan Henry announced at the PERK, Protection of the Educational Rights of Kids gathering, that he would run in 2024 for Glendale School Board.

TAKING THE HEAT IN THE KITCHEN

A couple of weeks ago, the GUSD school board told the public that Superintendent Dr. Vivian Ekchian would run interference for the board. She was going to answer any questions regarding curriculum or policies more directly. She was going to have "Coffee with the Superintendent Day." But not coffee with your favorite School board member who makes the policies that the Superintendent carries out!

At the June 20th school board meeting, Dr. Vivian Ekchian, with only four years with the district, announced her retirement at the end of June. She was the first female and first Armenian American as a Superintendent.

We are being told Dr. Darneika Watson-Davis, former Executive Director at LAUSD and current GUSD Human Resource Director and Operations Director, will be GUSD's interim superintendent. At the same time, the board determines its next step. Dr. Davis is the first female and black Superintendent.

When the GUSD board members select its next Superintendent, will they find the best and most qualified individual or the so-called "Progressive" liberal way of choosing someone based on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion?

As for this writer, if I ever have to go in for open heart surgery, I hope my surgeon has passed the DEI test before any other criteria for merit.

THE CULTURAL AND SPIRITUAL WAR BETWEEN CONSERVATIVE RATIONAL AND WOKE IDEOLOGY
For a couple of generations, liberals were the true Democrats. Today, the Democrat Party has been hijacked by the Communist Party. They are implementing Marxist and woke Ideology in our Justice Department, Military Establishment, Public Schools, and Universities.

In 2023, conservatives are the new liberals, and the "so-called" liberals are the new Marxists in Glendale and Washington D.C.

MANY PARENTS ARE SAYING THE AMERICAN FLAG UNITES THIS COUNTRY AND NOT THE DIVISIVE LGBTQ FLAG

On April 9, 2023, Mayor Dan Brotman would not address Marina Vivar and her daughter Thelma Gonzales' complaints about how her daughter was mistreated at GUSD on the school's LGBTQ agenda. Nevertheless, on June 13, he convinced his council colleagues to agendize for future discussion dangerous, divisive, and hate speech in Glendale over the objections of Glendale parents in the council chambers that night.

June 6, 2023, Glendale School Board meeting was a watershed moment in Glendale school politics and elsewhere in our country. The cultural war at GUSD came to a head when the Glendale Unified School Board of Education voted 5-0 to make June, once again, Pride month.

Councilman Ardy Kassakhian stated he would be glad to meet with Marina Vivar and her daughter Thelma Gonzales after the council meeting.

At the June 20, 2023, GUSD Board meeting, a group of LGBTQ+ advocates called Queer Nation L.A. urged supporters to turn out in force at the GUSD Board meeting "to outnumber the fascists trying to eradicate trans and queer lives from public education in the U.S. and beyond."

Parents learned from the June 6, 2023, meeting to come early if they wanted a seat at a school board meeting. This time parents arrived as early as 2:45 pm to be at the scheduled 5 pm meeting. These parents were determined to be sitting down in the school board chamber at 5 pm. These parents were ready to battle with their elected officials.

Once Nayiri Nahabedian, the school board president, called the 5 pm meeting to order, this time, the boardroom was filled about 75% with parents against the LGTBTQ+ agenda... a big difference from the June 6 meeting.

PARENTS ARE THE TRUSTED ADULTS, NOT SCHOOL TEACHERS OR ADMINISTRATORS.
Many school parents say they are not against LBGTQIA+ parents per se, but they don't want that message taught by the schools to their children. These parents did not want the Glendale school teachers to sexualize their children with their political agenda on sexual identities, nor did they want to buy into the Transgender/Drag Queen agenda. These parents did not want to hear about gender dysphoria. Sex education belongs in the homes of the parents and not the public schools.

ELECTIONS HAVE CONSEQUENCES

Who are sexual groomers to our children?. We urge our readers to please watch this short video. State Senator Anthony Portantino and Assemblywoman Laura Friedman are two groomers we should know more about—an unbelievable short video.

The TRANSGENDER/DRAG QUEER PRIDE MONTH has awakened a sleeping giant of parents, and watch these parents organize and, in the future, vote more with their wallets and at the ballot box.

June 6th and 20th school board meetings have taught parents that they must stay vigilant to protect their children and what is being taught in Glendale public schools and elsewhere. In the future, these parents will become more involved in selecting school board candidates and more engaged with their local chapters of the PTA.

THE DEMOCRAT PARTY LEFT ME ON JUNE 6, 2023.

On June 6th, the LBGTQ agenda was successfully pushed at the GUSD board meeting. On the June 20th board meeting, just outside the school property at Wilson and Jackson, conservative Republicans had a table and chairs set up, signing up liberals, libertarians, and independent parents.

Members of the LGBTQ group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence - who mock Christian nuns- were seen at the event. The drag queen and transgender groups sparked Christian backlash when they were invited to the Los Angeles Dodger's pride celebration earlier this month.

The defense the school board is using to push back on parents is either California State Laws or an Executive order by President Joe Biden. As we always say, elections have consequences. The state of California, for many years, has been run by the super majority of Democrats in the State Assembly and State Senate as well as Governors—our current President is Democrat Joe Biden.

THE BATTLE LINES HAVE BEEN DRAWN
Will the angry Glendale school parents also be involved in selecting their local council members, plus state and federal officials? Only time may tell.
