From: City Of Hot SpringsTroubleshoots and repairs control panels; repairs and replaces pumps (two to 300 horsepower); performs preventive maintenance on pump stations and station equipment; meets with the public and explains problems, procedures, etc.; performs required mechanical, electrical and electronic troubleshooting to correct any malfunctioning component; prepares adequate written reports; communicates on two-way radio; responds to calls for emergency repairs outside normal working hours; performs related work as required.
In the event applicant does not possess these requirements, applicant will be hired at a lower pay grade commensurate to experience and/or license. Any applicant with no CDL nor experience will be hired in as Maintenance Tech I (pay grade 6 $13.01); any applicant with one years’ experience as a Maintenance Tech I or a CDL with no experience will be hired as a Maintenance Tech II (pay grade 7 $13.70).
Qualifications
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; prefer an individual with some plumbing experience and maintenance of pumps; must possess a valid (CDL) and one years’ experience as a Maintenance Tech I or II. In the event applicant does not possess these requirements, applicant will be hired at a lower pay grade commensurate to experience and/or license. Any applicant with no CDL nor experience will be hired in as Maintenance Tech I (pay grade 6 $13.01); any applicant with one years’ experience as a Maintenance Tech I or a CDL with no experience will be hired as a Maintenance Tech II (pay grade 7 $13.70).
Special Requirements
DRUG TESTING: All applicants are subject to pre-employment drug testing; individual in this position will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.
