The Hot Springs Police Department (HSPD) is looking to hire a vast diverse group of hardworking individuals who are looking to enhance the quality of life in the Hot Springs area by ensuring the safety and wellness of all citizens, visitors and employees.
As the first accredited police department in Arkansas, the HSPD continues to raise the bar on performance and level of service. The department is team-oriented and values a community- and problem-oriented policing philosophy with a commitment to form strong partnerships with the community in order to prevent crime and to solve crime that may occur.
The current entry-level salary is $44,490. Certified officers qualify for a $5,000 sign-on bonus after 6 months of employment.
The applicant requirements are as follows:
- Must be 20 years old by Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023
- Pass all pre-employment screenings

Qualifying applicants must successfully complete both an agility and written examination to be conducted on Saturday, January 7, 2023. See application for agility test requirements. Also, applicants who successfully pass both the agility and written exam will interview with the Hot Springs Civil Service Commission scheduled for Wednesday, January 18, 2023.
