A new exhibition, Natural Language: Contemporary Book Art, is coming to the Great Park Gallery Sunday, January 28, and includes an opening reception with the featured artists from 1 to 3 p.m.

You're invited to the opening of the next Great Park Gallery Exhibition, Natural Language: Contemporary Book Art, Sunday, January 28, from 1 to 3 p.m.

This exhibition features an evocative collection of artists' books — complex, visual mediums that challenge the traditional book format by becoming sculptural objects that invite audiences into the unique world of the artist. Natural Language: Contemporary Book Art  includes the work of contemporary artists who have creatively reinterpreted the medium of the book to visualize forms found in nature through poetic and thought-provoking ways — inspired by themes that include, exploring nature through air, forest, and sea, language, history, environment, and ecology.

This exhibition is curated in collaboration with UCI Special Collections and artists from around the world - bringing together cross-cultural perspectives through artistic excellence.

The Great Park Gallery is open:

- Thursday–Friday, Noon–4 p.m.

- Saturday–Sunday, 10 a.m.–4 p.m.

Enjoy Holidayz at the Park through January 7

Time is running out on all the festive cheer at the Great Park. Through January 7, you can still experience the magic of Holidayz at the Park. Step into a winterscape as the Palm Court Arts Complex is decorated with sparkling light displays that twinkle and shimmer. This captivating setting is the perfect backdrop for a leisurely evening stroll or snapping photos with family and friends.

Holidayz at the Park is open daily from dusk to 9:30 p.m.
