Pavilion Rentals Begin Feb. 7 In-Person for Residents, Feb. 8 Online

Pavilion rentals for the May 1- Sept. 30 season begin Tuesday, Feb. 7, for Livonia residents. Starting at 5 a.m., residents will be able to go in person to the Kirksey Recreation Center to reserve a timeslot to make their pavilion reservation later that morning, with the first in-person timeslot being 7 a.m. to make their pavilion reservation.

Remaining available dates will open to both residents and non-residents for reservation both online and in-person starting 6 a.m. Feb. 8. Visit Livonia.gov/1569 via LivoniaParks.org for all the details on pavilion rentals or Livonia.gov/1939 for information on all City facility rentals.

LivoniaFit Challenge Changes up Format for Cardio-Filled Morning

The LivoniaFit Challenge is back, but with a new spin! Join us starting at 8 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, at the Kirksey Recreation Center for this all-cardio indoor event as participants RUN, RIDE and ROW for 20 minutes each. Awards will be given to the top male and female in each age division.

Challenge yourself mentally and physically with this fun event. Register in advance for $40 per time slot. Heats available every 30 minutes. T-shirt and refreshments included.

Livonia All Stars Take to the Ice Jan. 29 vs. Detroit Red Wings Alumni

The Livonia All Stars adult ice hockey team won’t give up! They’re challenging the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association once again from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 29, at Eddie Edgar Arena. Proceeds will benefit the Livonia Kids and Families non-profit organization, with tickets available online at eventbrite.com/e/476711917177

The Livonia All Stars team is made up of teachers, Livonia hockey coaches, Livonia first responders, and many others connected to our community. They’ll go for the “W” in this second-annual charity fundraising event. Tickets are going fast, so purchase yours in advance for $10 each before they sell out!

The Livonia 8U girls and Livonia 8U Blue coed kids will also hold an intermission scrimmage.
