Improving Prior Lake parks, trails and recreation for years to come

On Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Prior Lake voters will consider a property tax increase to help fund improvements to our park and trail system.

Shaped by community input, the $60 million plan would support critical repairs, upgrades and new amenities at neighborhood parks, Highway 13 trails, Spring Lake Park and Lakefront Park, including:

- Better beach access
- Safer, more connected trails
- Updated, inclusive playgrounds
- Enhanced accessibility
- Additional athletic fields
- New activities for all to enjoy

Residents have the final say

If approved by voters, the estimated tax impact on a median-value home of $433,600 will reach $22 per month over the next five years.
