The City of Prior Lake welcomed three new firefighters and promoted two others. Welcome aboard Blake Lawrence, Andrew Smith and Spenser Smith. Congratulations to Assistant Fire Chief/Fire Marshall Jake Theisen and Captain Brandon Anderson on your promotions. The five were recognized at the Tuesday, Aug. 25 City Council meeting.

Join the City's Planning Commission
The City is looking for dedicated residents to help shape the community's future by serving on the Planning Commission. This is a unique opportunity for residents to get involved in guiding land use, zoning, development, and the long-term vision of the City. Four positions are open, two commissioners and two alternates, and applications will be accepted until Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025.

Investing in Prior Lake Parks and Community
The City created a website to provide information about the upcoming parks referendum on Tuesday, Nov. 4 (early voting starts Friday, Sept. 19). The City proposes a $60 million investment plan focused on repairing aging infrastructure, enhancing amenities, and improving trail connectivity. YT's Garage Sports Bar has officially opened its doors. The garage themed bar features a patio, open air seating, cold drinks, and big TVs. It's located next to PLate and across from the VFW. Just down the road, Chula's Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits is taking shape and is expected to open in the spring.
Autumn is here and so are the City's fall recreation programs! The City offers a lineup of activities for everyone in the community to enjoy.
