From: City of Richmond

So far, my only resolution for 2023 has panned out. I’ve had positive thoughts all week! WHEE!!  I began thinking about some of the positive changes we experienced in Richmond during 2022. I am very proud to say that for the first time in 185 years, Richmond now has Homestead Exemptions!  Richmond is still loving the much quieter train horns as the trains pass through town since the installation of all wayside horns have been completed. The new process for residents to volunteer to serve on city boards and committees is a success! We have an art gallery, which also offers classes for kids and adults, in downtown Richmond again. We have two residential communities that continue to build beautiful new homes and a new development that is almost finished with its site prep work, in the vicinity of FM 762 and FM 2218, where gorgeous new homes will be built. Growth in Richmond- WOW! 2023 is going to be a fantastic year for our city and our residents. I look forward to all the accomplishments and growth we will see in 2023!

First Friday of January and that always means Richmond Farmers Market opens, from 3- 7 pm. during the Fall/ Winter months, so please visit the market and support local.
