Bond Project Update
Highland Station Park Playground Installation

In May 2021, Saginaw voters approved a $67.5 million bond with $4 million allocated for park improvements. The first park improvement project is almost complete!! In 2022, the Saginaw Parks Board recommended and the City Council approved the use of $403,000, from the $4 million allocated for park improvements, to replace two aging playgrounds located at Highland Station Park.

This project will consist of:

- Two new all-inclusive playgrounds with fall protection flooring.

- Sun protection covers for the new playgrounds

- An upgraded restroom

Construction will be completed by mid-March and we will soon announce a ribbon cutting ceremony that the community is invited to attend!

Advisory boards, commissions and committees play a vital role in the decision-making and policy-setting processes, which enhance the Quality of Life in Saginaw. The City could not function without the many hours of volunteer time, energy, and expertise contributed by each dedicated member of the boards, commissions, and committees.
These boards were established to assist and advise the City Council on specific issues. If you would like to take an active part in the community by volunteering on a board, please complete and submit an application.
Applications and information may be obtained through the City Secretary’s Office by calling 817-230-0327 or by email [email protected] .

Think Before You Flush
Did you know that “flushable wipes” and other trash flushed down the toilet are the leading cause of sewer backups in our community? Even if the wipes package says “flushable” they should never be flushed!
Your actions make a difference! You can help prevent costly plumbing repairs and higher utility rates.
