Stockton, CA - The City of Stockton will be hosting a ribbon-cutting celebration to officially commemorate the reopening of the Van Buskirk Community Center Gymnasium.

The ribbon cutting will take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, 5:00 p.m., at the Van Buskirk Community Center, 734 Houston Ave., Stockton. After the official ceremony, basketball activities and refreshments will be provided.

This event is to celebrate the reopening of the gymnasium to the community. In 2021, the gymnasium floor was damaged by flooding. Repairs have been made and a brand-new gymnasium floor is now available for community sports activities. The project was made possible through funding approved by the City Council.
