ARTS FEST

Downtown Stuart will be hopping this weekend with the return of the annual ArtsFest, Saturday and Sunday, February 11 & 12, in Gazebo Park, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Art, entertainment, vendors, food and fun! 

Admission $5; 18 and under, free. 

The Chopped Competition, this year where four local chefs will compete to take home the "Chopping Board" and the title, takes place on Saturday, February 11, beginning at 11 a.m.

MARKET ON MAIN

This community-based collaborative "makers market" on the waterfront in Flagler Park is a Sunday tradition every Sunday in season from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. (summer hours 9 a.m to 1 p.m.)

Find locally grown fruits and vegetables, herbs, tropical plants and fresh cut flowers, grass-fed beef, poultry, eggs and cheeses, organic spice blends, homemade suces, fresh baked pastries, as well as handcrafted soaps, skincare, candles, handmade leather goods, jewelry, and even homemade goodies and accessories for the furry ones in your life.

Live music tops off the festive, relaxed, family and dog-friendly atmosphere, beautiful vistas and cooling breezes all complimentary.

ROCK'N RIVERWALK

This downtown Stuart signature concert series takes place every Sunday on the beautiful waterfront Riverwalk Stage, 1 p.m to 4 p.m. Enjoy live music, visit vendor booths filled with art, jewelry, and an assortment of goods, grab a sandwich, hot dog, popcorn or a beverage while taking in the series.

Presented by Stuart Main Street and the Historic Stuart Downtown Business Association, this series is provided free to the public thanks to generous sponsors and attendee donations.

FREE SHUTTLE REMINDER

City of Stuart trams run on a continuous route with stops at Kiwanis Park-n-Ride, Osceola Park Park-n-Ride, Haney Circle, Flagler Park, City Hall and Sailfish Park-n-Ride. The operating hours for these stops are: Sunday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Monday 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Tuesday 10 a.m . 7 p.m.; Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Thursday, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Friday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.;. and Saturday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.

In addition to the above scheduled stops, oncall location stops include Kindred Street (M-F until 5 p.m.), the hospital, and Sailor's Return (after 3 p.m.). The oncall contact telephone number is (772) 260-0126.

A dedicated route between Wells Fargo Bank, located at 301 E. Ocean Boulevard, and Haney Circle is also now available the following hours: Monday-Friday, 5 p.m.-7 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. - 9 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m. -5 p.m.

Stuart Police Department
Promotions and New Officers
Earlier this week, two Stuart Police Dispatchers were promoted, and two new Stuart Police Department officers were sworn in.

Diane Kirland, 24 years of service to the department, and Charvella Whitehead, 22 years of service, were both promoted to the rank of Police Master Dispatcher.

William Saunders and Naggi Gamble were both sworn in as new Stuart Police Department officers by Police Chief Tumminelli. Saunders' and Gamble's families were on hand for the swearing in ceremony along with City of Stuart personnel.

Congratulations to all and thank you for your service to the City of Stuart.
