There's lots to do and see in Tempe this winter! From holiday shopping to festive events to cultural activities, there's no shortage of fa-la-la-la fun. And if you’re looking for ways to give back this season, we’ve got ideas, too. Read on to learn more and mark your calendars.
Family friendly fun
It's a parade... on the lake!
Enjoy one of the Valley's most unique holiday events at the Fantasy of Lights Boat Parade! In addition to the lighted boats of all shapes and sizes, enjoy holiday shopping, food vendors and a fireworks show. The festivities kick off Saturday, Dec. 10, from 4 to 9 p.m. Learn more. Holiday market on Mill
Second Sundays on Mill will take over downtown this Sunday, Dec. 11 with a holiday market and loads of festive fun! Take selfies with Santa, chat with familiar holiday faces, get sporty with roller skating and peruse the local artisans and vendors. The fun goes down from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. along Mill Avenue. Light the menorah
Downtown Tempe will host its inaugural Hanukkah menorah lighting event at Sixth Street Park in downtown Tempe on Monday, Dec. 19. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting at 6 p.m. and activities through 7:30 p.m.

Winter wonderland at Diablo Stadium
World of Illumination has turned Tempe Diablo Stadium into a winter wonderland! Visit the world’s largest animated drive-through light show, feauring larger-than-life Christmas characters and confections.
Open through New Year’s Day. Get tickets.
Paint with the whole family
Attend a Celebrating Kwanzaa family day event at Painting with a Twist on Monday, Dec. 26, at 1 p.m. Recommended for kids age 7 and older, the class will provide all the supplies you need to create a beautiful painting. See the full lineup of festive holiday creations this season.
