22nd Street Bridge Revitalization Project Public Meeting Tomorrow - The City of Tucson's Department of Transportation and Mobility (DTM) is holding a fourth public meeting tomorrow night, Dec. 8, about the upcoming 22nd Street Bridge Revitalization Project that will replace the existing weight-restricted bridge over the Union Pacific Railroad, between Kino Parkway and Tucson Boulevard. The project will also widen the 22nd Street bridge from a four-lane divided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway to match the lane configurations on each end of the project for improved east-west connectivity. Tomorrow's meeting will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the Quincie Douglas Center, 1575 E. 36th St. Join DTM, the Regional Transportation Authority, and the contractor (OPS Constructors) to discuss travel during construction, receive information on the overall project, and the project team will answer any questions. Commission On Equitable Housing And Development Meeting Tomorrow - The City of Tucson’s Commission on Equitable Housing and Development (CEHD) meeting will take place virtually tomorrow, Dec. 8, from 4-6 p.m. Some agenda items for the December meeting include a discussion on the City of Tucson and City of Flagstaff bond elections, updates from the commission’s subcommittees, communication to Tucson's Mayor and Council, a continuation of the electric vehicle (EV) ordinance discussion, the Housing Affordability Strategy for Tucson (HAST), and updates from Housing and Community Development (HCD). Skate On The Tucson Holiday Ice Outdoor Rink (Video) - Pima Pain Center, the City of Tucson, and Rio Nuevo invite you to skate on Tucson's outdoor ice rink over the holidays, now through Sunday, Jan. 8. Tucson Holiday Ice is located at 260 S. Church Ave., in front of the Tucson Convention Center. Tickets can be purchased online. Each session starts at a designated time and lasts for 90 minutes. Admission for adults is $20 per session, and children 12 and under are $14. The first session each day has a discounted price of $12 for adults and $8 for youth. Skates are included with the ticket price and begin at size 8 for children and run as large as men's size 15. Skate assists can be rented for $5. Socks are required, and gloves are highly recommended. The Bisbee Breakfast Club offers free hot coffee and cocoa Wednesday nights, from 6-9 p.m.

Santa Is Making Phone Calls To Tucson's Children Through Tucson Parks And Recreation - Santa Claus and his elves would like to add some sparkle to a child’s holiday season through the Santa’s Calling program. Children 4-8 years old get an opportunity to speak with Santa and listen to his elves hard at work. Fill out the online form at the link below by Saturday, Dec. 10, and be available by phone Dec. 13-15, from 5:30-8 p.m., so you don't miss Santa’s call. Register For Parks And Recreation Winter Break Camps - Tucson Parks and Recreation will be offering School's Out Winter Break Camps at multiple sites throughout Tucson for children ages 5-11 or In-Betweener's Club for ages 12-14. Camp at Clements Center will be Dec. 19-30 (no camp Dec. 26) serving the Vail School District. The cost is $45 per camper. Camp at Donna Liggins Center will be Dec. 19-30 (no camp Dec. 26) serving the Amphitheater School District. The cost is $45 per City-resident or $57 for non-City residents. All other camps will be Dec. 27-Jan. 6 (no camp Jan. 2). The cost is $40 for City-residents or $50 for non-City residents.
