The City continues to garner nationwide attention and accolades. Organizations such as Forbes Magazine, Fodor's Travel Guide and other prestigious publications have named our City as one of the best places to live or start a new career.

Sanitation Division Employees Recognized for their Hard Work

In honor of their second anniversary, Tropical Smokehouse owners Jason Lakow and Rick Mace donated a BBQ lunch to the City's sanitation division. Mayor Keith A. James thanked the employees for their dedication to keeping the City clean and safe, served employees and also thanked the restaurant for their recognition of the sanitation team.

Coleman Park Renaissance Groundbreaking

Alongside its project partners, the City held a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Coleman Park Renaissance project. In addition to housing for essential workers and individuals on a fixed income, the development will also feature commercial space for minority-owned businesses.

Free Tax Help Offered at Mandel Public Library

Tax season is upon us and, once again, the Mandel Public Library is hosting free tax preparation sessions with qualified experts. For more information, visit taxesfiledfree.org or call 211.

Presidents Day Closures

City Hall and the Mandel Public Library will be closed on Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 in observance of Presidents Day. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m., and the library will reopen at 9:30 a.m. Regular trash services will be provided.

Free Tree Giveaway on 2/24

Help us reach our goal of planting 10,000 trees by 2025! This program, an initiative of the City's Office of Sustainability, reflects our partnership with residents and businesses to beautify our neighborhoods, sustain the health of existing trees, and increase the City's shade canopy. Tree registration form is required, you must be a resident or business within City limits.

Apply Today: Summer Camp Scholarship Program

The City's Parks and Recreation Department invites residents to apply for Palm Beach County’s Summer Camp Scholarship Program. These scholarships can be applied to the City's summer camp programs. Applications will be accepted through April 14, or until funds run out.

Recent Policy Actions, Next City Commission Meeting

The next City Commission meeting will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
