On Saturday, January 28, the Great Plains Nature Center (GPNC) at 6232 E. 29^th St. North, will host their Kansas Day celebration from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. This free open house event will highlight the organization and the beautiful state of Kansas. The event is open to all ages.

Visitors will be able to learn about:

-Upcoming events such as Walk with Wildlife or Art on the Trail;

-GPNC clubs;

-Kansas trivia;

-Volunteer opportunities;

-GPNC's Favorite Things (program starts at 11 a.m.);

-The 2023 Annual Guide and more.

The Great Plains Nature Center is a cooperative project between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, City of Wichita, and the Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center nonprofit organization. These partners share a common goal of providing opportunities for the public to investigate, understand and develop an appreciation for wildlife and the environment, while promoting sound stewardship of natural resources.
