Join us for a day of dragon boating, competition and fun as we hold the Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival on the Black river in Lorain, Ohio!

We'll have a local DJ playing music with food trucks and vendors to enhance the race day experience.

What is dragon boat racing?
Dragon boating is the ultimate team sport. A team of paddlers work in unison to propel the boat forward from a standing start, the aim being to reach the finish line in the fastest time. A dragon boat team consists of 20 paddlers sitting two abreast in a 46-foot-long boat, a cox who steers the dragon boat from the rear and a drummer who sits at the front and marks the pace. Dr

Who can participate?
Dragon boating provides a full body workout suitable for any - and every - body. The key to moving the boat is how well paddlers work together as a team. The team cannot paddle faster than its slowest member, and each and every paddler's strength and reach have to be balanced in the boat.
