Cold Mountain Music Festival 2025

Arts and Entertainment

May 12, 2025

From: Cold Mountain Music Festival

Cold Mountain Music Festival features top-notch musical talent, amazing local food & drink vendors, family-friendly activities, and more – all in one of the most pristine settings imaginable! The centerpiece of our nearly 300-acre campus is mile-long Lake Logan surrounded by the Shining Rock Wilderness and Pisgah National Forest.

In between acts on the Main Stage, catch some talented youth musicians from across Western NC on our JAM (Junior Appalachian Musicians) stage adjacent to the Kids’ Zone, Vendor Village and the Food Trucks / Beer Garden. For every ticket purchased, we’ll donate a dollar to support this year’s participating JAM chapters.

Throughout the weekend, festival goers are welcome and encouraged to explore all that our campus has to offer. Enjoy a hike into the Shining Rock Wilderness, soak in some bald eagle spotting by the West Fork of the Pigeon River, or go for a boat ride or swim in the pristine waters of Lake Logan. Gates open at 10am on Friday. Come on and join the fun!

Our 2nd Annual Bishop’s Cup Golf Tournament will be held on Friday of the Festival weekend at nearby Laurel Ridge in Waynesville, NC. All proceeds from the Cold Mountain Music Festival and the Bishop’s Cup golf tournament support the non-profit programs and ministries of Lake Logan‘s Retreat Center, Camp Henry, and the Outdoor School.

Festival goers are welcome and encouraged to explore all that our campus has to offer. Enjoy a walk in the woods, soak in some bald eagle sightings by the river, or go for a boat ride or swim in the pristine waters of Lake Logan. Our waterfront offers canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards that everyone is welcome to use during your time at the festival. Our Kid Zone offers endless hours of tetherball, soccer, corn hole, giant jenga and more. Throughout the weekend Camp Henry Counselors will offer various activities like bracelet-making and tie-dye. There’s a little something for everyone at Cold Mountain!

TWO NEW FRIDAY ACTIVITIES THIS YEAR:

Take a stroll with a naturalist who can share more about the history and ecology of Lake Logan and the abundant plant life that help make this place so special. Enjoy a catered picnic and outdoor concert at the Historic Sit n’ Whittle Village overlooking Lake Logan. The tour departs at 11 am on Friday. The picnic and concert will wrap around 2pm. The Bishop’s Cup Golf Tournament moves to the festival weekend this year.
