To commemorate its newly refreshed restaurants in Orange and Osceola counties, Cracker Barrel, the home-away-from-home where all guests can get a warm, comforting meal, is hosting a community celebration on Tuesday, November 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at their Kissimmee restaurant at 5400 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway.
The event will include music provided by 101one WJRR Orlando’s Rock Station, complimentary refreshments, two giveaways featuring a Cracker Barrel Rocking Chair and brand gift basket, and the first 300 adults will receive a complimentary dessert or craft-coffee card, and the first 300 kids will receive a complimentary kids meal card to be use that evening or a later date. Additionally, Cracker Barrel Kissimmee has partnered with A Gift for Teaching, and will present them with a $10,000 donation.
A Gift for Teaching was established by Gary Landwirth when he recognized that thousands of students couldn’t afford lunch let alone school supplies, limiting their ability to learn and achieve. Meanwhile, financially strapped teachers were spending money out of their own pockets to ensure their students weren’t left behind. Gary’s concept was simple: improve public education by providing free resources and surplus materials to teachers for their students in need. A Gift for Teaching serves 30 public schools. Each day, the nonprofit supplies $70,000 worth of supplies to these schools, totaling more than $169 million since its inception in 1998.
Currently, Cracker Barrel is undergoing a brand transformation focused on delivering a refreshed look and feel centered around menu innovation and an updated look and feel in store. Guests at this local Kissimmee store, and additional stores in the Orlando area, can expect to see new paint, décor pieces and a little TLC. Most importantly, with the refresh, the brand remains committed to quality, delicious food, welcoming staff, and nostalgic décor.
