Walz’s strong 55-41 approval rating is nearly identical to his 54-40 rating before he was selected as the vice-presidential nominee
ST PAUL – The Minnesota DFL Party released the following statement on new independent polling numbers showing that Walz has maintained a strong, 55-41 approval rating, nearly identical to the 54-40 rating the same pollster found in Q2 of 2024.
“Partisan Republicans have tried to tear down Governor Walz, but the support and trust that he has earned from Minnesotans has endured,” said Minnesota DFL Chair Ken Martin. “From free school meals to paid family leave, the working-class agenda that Governor Walz and DFL leaders have championed enjoys strong support from a clear majority of Minnesotans. Our party is ready to fight with Governor Walz to lower costs while protecting critical investments in our schools and the programs that support working families.”
Polling has shown strong support in Minnesota for landmark DFL accomplishments like free school meals and paid family and medical leave.
