Enjoy a screening of the movie Shrek at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
Irvine, CA -- The City of Irvine invites the community to enjoy an evening of swimming and family fun at the annual Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim Saturday, August 23, at William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center.
This year’s event features a screening of Shrek (PG), shown on a large outdoor screen in the shallow-depth pool. Families are invited to swim, float, and enjoy the movie as it plays under the night sky. The pool opens at 6:30 p.m. and the movie begins at 7:15 p.m.
Kids and families can enjoy diving boards, a small water slide, and an in-water obstacle course. Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the event. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied one-on-one by an adult while in the water.
Families can bring floaties to the event and exchange them for a U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jacket through the City’s Floatie Exchange program, an initiative supporting ongoing efforts to ensure a water-safe summer. Life jackets are available for children ages 6 and younger while supplies last.
Admission to the Splash-In Movie & Recreation Swim is $2.50 per child and $5 per adult, payable at the entrance.
