Dogfish Head to Host Free Analog-A-Go-Go Festival, A Rockin’ Kickoff to Summer

Dogfish Head’s annual Analog-A-Go-Go festival is back, and this year, the brewery is crankin’ up the heat. Now an unofficial kickoff to summer, the FREE, family-friendly festival is slated for Saturday, June 8, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery. Tapping into its melodious roots, this year’s event will focus on all-things music. The brewery is transforming into a music venue meets record fair meets beer festival, where folks can spend the day perusing pop-up record shops and exploring music-related treasures from 15 independent merchants, all while listening to stellar tunes, and of course, tasting exclusive beer and spirits samples. Seventeen different samples will be available for purchase throughout the day, and for those who find samples they’re really rockin’ with, full pours of select Dogfish Head beers will also be available for purchase. Event open to the public. No tickets required.

And what’s a great festival without great friends? Dewey Beer Co., Angel City Brewery®, Angry Orchard®, Other Half Brewing and The Veil Brewing Co. will be joining Dogfish Head at Analog-A-Go-Go, pouring their signature creations on-site.

For this year’s Analog-A-Go-Go, Dogfish Head has also teamed up with two legendary brands – CREEM Magazine and the Morrison Hotel Gallery – to bring new liquid collaborations to life, both of which will be available exclusively at the festival.  

Dogfish Head X Creem Magazine: Boy Howdy! Creem Ale

Dubbed "America's Only Rock 'n' Roll Magazine,'' CREEM broke barriers and rattled cages with its music journalism, while also being known as the creator of the most iconic fake beer in rock history: Boy Howdy! Since 1969, CREEM has photographed some of the world’s most well-known musicians hoisting the Boy Howdy! beer can, but little did most folks know, the can was just a prop; there was no actual beer inside. Now, for the very first time, this iconic can, adorned with CREEM's R. Crumb-designed mascot, will contain a liquid brewed by Dogfish Head. Boy Howdy! Creem Ale (5.5% ABV) is an unfiltered American cream ale (duh!) brewed with organic corn and Michigan-grown hops, a nod to CREEM's Detroit roots, and crafted with a power-trio of two fermentations and a microbiome. Boy Howdy! That's good!

Creem Magazine will be on-site at Analog-A-Go-Go, selling merchandise and copies of their magazine, alongside pours of Boy Howdy! Cream Ale, also available in 4pk/12oz cans to-go.

Dogfish Head X Morrison Hotel Gallery: Old Fashioned Rock ‘n’ Roll Bottled Cocktail

Dogfish Head’s love for rock ‘n’ roll runs deep. That’s why its distillery is teaming up with none other than the world leader in fine arts music photography, the Morrison Hotel Gallery. Together, they have drummed up Old Fashioned Rock ‘n’ Roll (27.5% ABV), a ready-to-pour bottled cocktail, that fuses their loves for music, art and distilling. Best enjoyed over ice while perusing the gallery’s timeless prints, it delivers the flavors found in a classic Old Fashioned cocktail, orange zest and bitters, alongside a bit of sweetness from rock candy.

Live Music Lineup

While the main event is taking place at Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery on Saturday, June 8, the Analog-A-Go-Go festivities will happen all weekend long with an awesome lineup of live music spanning the brewery’s Delaware locations.

Kicking off with a Friday night performance at Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats is indie-rock sensation Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, from 9-11 p.m. Then, on Saturday, June 8, at the Analog A-Go-Go festival at Dogfish Head’s Milton Brewery, attendees can groove to live music by Pawnshop Roses, starting at noon, followed by Nikki & The Barn Boys at 2 p.m. Then, back in Rehoboth on Saturday evening, Melissa Cox and Yam Yam will take the brewpub stage from 9-11 p.m. Closing out the weekend, folks can catch Marley Fyock at Chesapeake & Maine from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 9.
