What: City of Chandler Recreation celebrates the arrival of cooler weather and the amazing, winged insects that return in the fall with the free, family-friendly event, the Dragonfly & Butterfly Bash.

Discover the various species of dragonflies and butterflies that call Veterans Oasis Park home. Enjoy hourly nature walks starting at 9:30 a.m. and celebrate these important pollinators with crafts and activities. Visit tables hosted by local partners including the Desert Botanical Garden, Butterfly Wonderland, and the Arizona State University Natural History Collection.

A special feature of the Dragonfly & Butterfly Bash is the "Nature of Things" https://www.chandleraz.gov/events/nature-things-borderlands-restoration speaker series, featuring a presentation by Borderlands Restoration at 10:30 a.m. Learn about the importance of native plants in our desert environment.
