First Art on the Moon
In 1969, sculptor Forrest Myers orchestrated the placement of the first artwork on the Moon. The project, entitled Moon Museum, consists of drawings by six artists, including Robert Rauschenberg, Forrest Myers, and Andy Warhol, miniaturized and printed onto a tiny ceramic wafer surreptitiously attached to the lunar module of NASA's Apollo 12 mission. It remains on the lunar surface to this day.
